Just 45 minutes away from the beaches of Ahungalla lies the Beraliya Jungle; a hybrid of a rainforest and marshland. Within these jungles one can discover a beautiful waterfall dubbed the ‘Crying Waterfall’. 

Meet your ranger at the starting point of the trek where you will first enjoy a cup of Sri Lankan tea. Set off afterward on a little adventure through the jungles. There are a few rock outcrops as well as water streams that you will pass along the way. Our ranger has a wealth of knowledge on the flora and fauna of this region, and will explain what you see as you head towards the waterfall. 

At the end of the trek, be rewarded with a view of the stunning waterfall. You may also climb to the upper level of the falls, where our ranger will serve a few light picnic snacks and beverages by a natural pool. If you are feeling up for it, have a dip and unwind as well.

• Important info: This is a short trek but filled with adventure and discovery. Please note as this is a rain forest there might be leeches during wet days. Your naturalist will be carrying a leech repellent solution with him.
